Rules

Rules | Scoring | Helpful Hints

  • The working time for each round is 45 seconds.  The clock starts when the first person exits the plane. The sequence will be performed in order and repeated until break-off altitude is reached
  • Each team will get 1 point for each properly built formation, 0 points for improperly built formations or lack of separation, and -1 point for each omitted formation
  • Each team must clearly show the proper grips on each formation and complete separation (everyone on grips and off grips at the same time when appropriate)
  • The formations do not have to be symmetrical.  All that matters is the formation is built with the proper grips. Mirrored formations are allowed
  • Teams can exit any way they like, but the clock starts once the first person exits the plane This means you can launch a round (or whatever you want) with whatever grips you want to stay connected, and you can then transition to the first formation
  • The draw will be released no later than check-in on the morning of the competition and no earlier than the evening before
  • Coaching will be provided on building the formations for anyone that would like some help!

Awards

The awards ceremony will commence after all teams have finished their jumps, when remaining teams have forfeited their remaining jumps (if unable to complete them for some reason), or at the end of the weekend, whichever comes first.

The highly coveted 3-way medals have already arrived, and they're just waiting to be around your neck!

Dive Pool

The 2022 Dive Flows will be compiled at random from a total of 15 Randoms and 19 Blocks.

A random is simply a formation.

A block has 3 parts: an initial formation (or "the top of the block"),  a final formation ("the bottom of the block") and an "inter" (a move that requires the competitors to transition from the top of the block to the bottom of the block either independently or as part of a 2-way piece.

Successful Randoms are scored as 1 point each and successful Blocks are scored as two points each.  To earn the second point in a Block, you must successfully complete the inter and bottom of the Block.
